I love watching people.  Everywhere I go I notice what people are doing, how they walk or stand, what they wear, and how they interact with each other and their environment.

Through random, candid photographs, these images become the basis for my art work.  Currently, I draw mostly with graphite pencils, colored pencils, sepia ink  and watercolors.  I enjoy working with all these media, sometimes alone and sometimes in combination.  I work directly – without doing preliminary sketches.  I enjoy the feeling of being slightly off balance but plunging ahead into a drawing hoping that intuition and past experience will lead my hand to a successful drawing.
